Privacy Policy
Short version: we keep what we need to ship your order and send you the newsletter you asked for. Nothing else.
Last updated 5 September 2026.
What we collect
When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, and the details of what you bought. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor and never touch our servers. When you subscribe to Notes from Beyond we collect your email address. When you write to us we keep the message so we can answer it.
We use privacy-respecting analytics that record which pages are visited and roughly where visitors come from. This data is aggregated and cannot identify you.
How we use it
- To fulfil and ship your order and tell you where it is.
- To answer your questions and handle returns.
- To send the newsletter, if and only if you subscribed. Every email has an unsubscribe link that works.
- To understand which parts of the shop people enjoy, so we can make more of that.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not run advertising trackers. We do not add you to the newsletter because you bought something. We do not keep card numbers.
Who else sees it
Only the services needed to run a small shop: our payment processor, our shipping carriers, our email provider for the newsletter, and the hosting company that keeps this site online. Each sees only what it needs for its job.
Cookies
This site uses a single cookie-like mechanism, your browser's local storage, to remember your cart on this device. No third-party cookies are set.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, or delete anything we hold about you at any time. Write to hello@jauntilymacabre.com and we will sort it within 30 days, usually much faster.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here with a new date and, for anything significant, tell newsletter subscribers directly.
